Summer Art & Music Happenings at GNOS Art Studio
Summer Art & Music Happenings with Colleen Gnos
I don’t know about you, but I have lots of summer activities lined up already. Thoughts turn to vacations, the beach, and outdoor concerts. We get more daylight to celebrate the good life. Maybe you have travel plans or guests visiting? I hope you’ll enjoy some of my events and online news this month!
Don’t Miss ‘Mermaids, Beaches and Waves’ at Puffer's of Pismo
Charlie Puffer (the original host with the most) has invited me to share my ocean-themed art, ‘Mermaids, Beaches and Waves’ at his very special club June 16 - July 29, 2019. If you’ve never visited, you’ll want to stop by. If you’re a regular, you’ll find even more vibrant art and music this summer.
You’re invited to join Charlie, the Puffer gang, & me for a delightful Father's Day Opening Reception, 3-5pm, Sunday, June 16. Enjoy tastings, warm hospitality and explore my latest originals and fine art prints of ocean cliffs, marine life, old boats, sirens, divers and the sea. Music to follow by New Vintage.
Reception: June 16th, 3-5pm at Puffers of Pismo.
781 Price Street, Pismo Beach, CA 93449

WHALES ….
I can't stop painting whales! I'm entranced by these soulful creatures that have been visiting our area in record numbers. Plus, they just make me happy.
See the completed Humpback whale painting at my Puffer's of Pismo‘s ‘Mermaids, Beaches and Waves’ show June 16 - July 29, 2019.
Researching and painting these amazing marine creatures has been great inspiration and practice for the new murals I’m working on for the Central Coast Aquarium in Avila Beach, CA. Stay tuned for more ocean scenes in Avila Beach this summer!

Someone Pass Me the CORN
Join My First Gig With The Mother Corn Shuckers Band For A Good Cause!
I can’t tell you how honored I am to be the new bass player for Central Coast, CA’s The Mother Corn Shuckers. When former bass player, Greg Steers asked to “pass me the corn” I was overcome with excitement. I’ve got big shoes to fill, Greg, and I can’t wait to play tunes that my talented husband, Che Miller wrote and locals love to dance to. Catch a peek at our fun ‘Trailer Sessions’ video here, filmed by MarciJean Fambrini.
Our first gig is 4-7pm, Saturday, June 15 to help Keep the Lighthouse Lit." As a fundraiser, the restored historic Point San Luis Lighthouse will host a fabulous afternoon with beer, wine, Corn Shucker inspired food for purchase, and a chance to dance to The Mother Corn Shuckers’ lively tunes in a beautiful historical setting. Event parking opens at 3pm. All proceeds support the bands and the Point San Luis Lighthouse operations.
Tickets are going fast! Get tickets, parking and transport details here
