More progress on "Remember: Life's Seasons" mural
Here are some more progress shots of "Remember: Life's Seasons," a 60 x3' mural that shares life experiences (through nature) of 3 teens and one teacher whose lives were tragically cut short. This mural will be installed at Dixon High School this month. It will provide a peaceful and reflective area for teens to eat their lunch in adirondack chairs in front of the mural. Generously donated by the Schneider family, who lost their son in 2019. All three teens would have graduated in June 2020.
In this 20’ portion of the mural, I painted in Dixon’s landmark, the ‘Milk Farm’ sign which has been seen by drivers along I80 since 1963. A field of sunflowers grows beneath the sign. I pulled a portion of the creek up so we catch a glimpse the the majestic rainbow trout, as a reminder of Jake Schneider, an avid fisherman. The Dixon almond orchards are in full bloom.
