I am the official artist for the 2016 LIVE OAK music festival!

This winter was I busy creating my painting for this year's Live Oak Music Festival. I had to keep it a secret until today, which meant I had to cover it when people would visit me in my studio. The artwork grabs the heart of the Alice in Wonderland theme (theme idea by Kelli Reynolds of KCBX) and throws it into a delicious whirl. The Cheshire Cat slaps the upright bass in a delirious jam accompanied by Alice and the Mad Hatter (as Joe Craven). I completed the original piece in oils because I love the easy way they blend and how each layer of the background shines through to the foreground – just as the hard work behind the scenes creates an inspiring Live Oak Festival.The artwork will be printed on shirts, jackets, cards and posters. If you would like to own the original painting, which is 36x36," it will be available for bidding at the silent auction during the festival June 17-19, 2016. I will be autographing posters and shirts during the festival. All proceeds benefit KCBX public radio.
